Up and coming resort with tradition.
Location
6490 Andermatt
Description
Andermatt is a popular spa and vacation resort in the Urseren Valley on the Reuss River on the north side of the Gotthard Pass. Here the pass roads of Gotthard and Oberalp cross. Above the village lies a characteristic Bannwald forest. With new hotel investments and the expansion of the ski resort, the resort is increasingly attracting international guests. In 1964, filming for the Bond film "Goldfinger" took place in the Urseren valley (Furka Pass, Realp, Andermatt). Nearby are the Devil's Bridge and the Suvorov Monument.
