On the James Bond pass road.
Location
6491 Realp
Description
The Furka pass road (Gletsch in Valais to Realp in the canton of Uri) gained international fame through the filming of James Bond's "Goldfinger". The pass is part of the three-pass route Furka, Grimsel and Susten and in summer the Furka steam train runs from Realp to Gletsch through a wild and romantic area on the Uri side of the pass.
From the top of the Furka pass you have a wonderful view of the Gotthard massif, the Urseren valley and the Bernese and Valais Alps. In Realp there is the car transport of the Furka-Oberalp railroad.
