Description
The Culture and Convention Centre Lucerne (KKL Luzern), located directly on Lake Lucerne, is an architectural masterpiece by Frenchman Jean Nouvel with its reflective facade and far-reaching canopy. The original idea to build the building into the lake gave way to the realised solution: water flows through the building in channels The multifunctional building is world-renowned for the excellent acoustics of its concert hall. In addition to the concert hall, the building houses other halls, restaurants and the Lucerne Art Museum. Among other events, the internationally renowned Lucerne Festival takes place in the building.
