The Film Commission Lucerne and Central Switzerland is the central point of contact for productions in the cantons Luzern, Uri, Schwyz, Obwalden, Nidwalden and Zug.

From development to premiere
The Film Commission supports film productions in Central Switzerland in all phases: from development and location scouting to production, post-production and promotion planning. It works on behalf of the Verein Film und Fernsehen Luzern-Zentralschweiz – free of charge for productions.

Locations and scouting
We accompany productions in all phases: from development and location scouting to production, post-production and promotion.

Land and permits
We facilitate the use of private and public land and provide support during negotiations with authorities and administrations. In the city of Luzern, the use of public land is free of charge.

Hotels and Conditions
We arrange favourable conditions for hotel stays and provide contacts to hosts throughout the entire region.

Consulting and Communication
We advise productions on all regional aspects and support them in the communication of their project.

Partner of the European Film Academy
The City and Canton of Luzern, together with the FOC and SRG, were partners of the European Film Academy for the hosting of the European Film Awards 2024 in Luzern. The Film Commission took the lead in organising the overall event on-site in Luzern with Niklaus Zeier (Project Management) and Lili Kaelin (Deputy Project Management).
