Programme Objectives

We fund the location search

The Location Scouting Incentive provides financial support to national and international film productions looking for suitable filming locations in the region of Luzern and Central Switzerland.

The aim is to position the region as an attractive filming location, to promote local service providers and to build long-term relationships with production companies.

WHAT IS SUPPORTED

Location Scout

Professional scout of the production's own choice.

Overnight stays

Up to three people, up to three nights.

Catering

During scouting, receipts required.

Vehicle and transport

Rental and transport on site.

Further scouting costs

Direct costs by arrangement.

Up to CHF 6'000

Reimbursement of actual third-party costs against original receipts.

  • Fees for lead actors
  • Costs incurred outside of Luzern and Central Switzerland
  • Costs incurred prior to approval

Submit application

Submit the application form along with the project description, budget, and supporting documents. We will contact your production management directly if there are any queries.

REQUIREMENTS AND DEADLINES

National and international professional film, TV and series productions are eligible to apply. The project scope is assessed by the Film Commission on a case-by-case basis; decisive factors include production volume, number of planned shooting days and the potential visibility for the region.

The application must be submitted at least two weeks before the start of scouting. Original receipts must be submitted within 30 days of the completion of the scouting. The maximum funding amount is CHF 6'000 per project.
