Summary

Andermatt is a popular health and holiday resort in the Urserental on the Reuss river, located on the northern side of the Gotthard pass. The pass roads of the Gotthard and Oberalp intersect here. A characteristic protection forest (Bannwald) stands above the village. With new hotel investments and the expansion of the ski resort, the holiday destination is increasingly attracting international guests. In 1964, filming for the Bond movie "Goldfinger" took place in the Urserental (Furkapass, Realp, Andermatt). The Teufelsbrücke and the Suworow-Denkmal are located nearby.
