Summary

In 1905, a path was carved into the steeply sloping cliffs of the Bürgenberg to provide guests of the hotels on the Bürgenstock with a walking route. The breathtaking path leads through numerous tunnels and along the high cliffs. The spectacular views over the Vierwaldstättersee, towards Luzern and across the vast Mittelland make this a unique walk. The path also leads to the [Hammetschwand_Lift](http://www.burgenstockresort.com).
