Summary
The Hammetschwand-Lift, Europe's highest outdoor elevator, transports passengers from the Felsenweg to the Hammetschwand (the highest point of the Bürgenstock). The lift was built in 1905 to conquer a height of 153 metres in a short time. Both the lift and the Felsenweg are considered key attractions of the Bürgenstock tourism resort.
