Summary
The secluded village of Kehrsiten is located on the southern shore of the Vierwaldstättersee, at the bottom of a steep, wooded rock slope, and is accessible via a narrow shore road or by boat. Hidden behind the rock faces of the Bürgenberg near Stansstad is the Festung Fürigen: built during the Second World War, it was part of the defence strategy of the time.
