Summary
The St. Karli Kirche is one of Switzerland's most significant examples of 20th-century ecclesiastical architecture. As the first concrete church in Central Switzerland, it was inaugurated in 1934 and is striking for its tall bell tower, its position as a bridgehead on the banks of the Reuss, and its terraced layout. The projecting roof and whitish colour make the church recognisable from afar.
