Summary

The Culture and Convention Centre Luzern (KKL Luzern), situated directly on the shores of the Vierwaldstättersee, is an architectural masterpiece by the Frenchman Jean Nouvel, featuring a reflective facade and a vast cantilevered roof. The original concept of constructing the building within the lake evolved into the final solution: water flows through the building in channels. This multifunctional venue is world-renowned for the exceptional acoustics of its concert hall. In addition to the concert hall, the building houses further halls, restaurants and the Kunstmuseum Luzern. The venue hosts, among others, the internationally renowned Lucerne Festival.
