Summary
The Strandbad Lido, one of Switzerland's largest bathing facilities, is situated in a wonderful location on the Luzern lakeside with views of Pilatus and the Central Swiss Alps. The vast site dating from 1929 features a wide sandy beach, a diving tower, paddling pools, a playground and the dominant blue main building (opened in 1999). The round building by the lake houses a modern bar and restaurant, offering a perfect view of the Luzern bay.
