Summary
The grand Schloss Meggenhorn is situated on a promontory above the Luzern lake basin, surrounded by secluded parkland. The castle was given its current form between 1868 and 1870, modelled on the Loire château Chambord. The construction of the Neo-Gothic castle chapel dates back to 1886.
