Summary
Opened in 1912, this approximately 8.81 km long railway line branches off from the SBB Olten-Luzern main line in Sursee and leads down the Suhrental via Geuensee and Büron to Triengen, where the depot and workshop are located. In March 2017, the 241-A 65 steam locomotive was in use for almost a week for the latest remake of the film "Murder on the Orient Express", appearing as the absolute star alongside big names from Hollywood. The catenary-free railway line is ideal for film recordings. It is therefore no wonder that film crews repeatedly find their way to the Surental.
