Titlis Tower
Iconic architecture above the glacier

Summary
Built in the 1980s, this transmission tower previously served exclusively for broadcasting. Following a redesign by the internationally renowned architects Herzog & de Meuron, it has now been opened to tourism for the first time and transformed into a new Alpine landmark. Building on the existing structure, two spatial volumes were inserted, making commercial use possible for the first time. The centrepiece is the "Horizon Deck" with panoramic views of the Alps, glaciers, and the Mittelland – below which are a fine-dining restaurant and the highest Rolex boutique in the world. Surrounding the tower, filmmakers can expect a wide range of other impressive filming locations: the rotating Rotair gondola, the Cliff Walk – Europe's highest suspension bridge –, the Ice Flyer over the eternal ice, and the Glacier Park. A location at the highest level – both literally and figuratively. The Titlis Tower is the first phase of the "TITLIS" project. The second stage is already underway: a new Peak Station, which will blend equally atmospherically into the mountain landscape and will be second to none.
