Summary

Switzerland's smallest and youngest university moved into the converted post office building directly next to the station and the KKL Luzern in 2011. The university originated from the theological faculty. Courses in theology and philosophy have been offered in Luzern since 1600. Today, the university comprises the following faculties: Theology, Humanities and Social Sciences, Law, Economics and Management, Health Sciences and Medicine, and Behavioural Sciences and Psychology. The striking facade structure of the building gives the university a distinctive character.
