Imagine the camera sweeping across the peaks of Central Switzerland, the light refracting in the waves of Lake Lucerne – but who ensures that the spotlights on set are actually burning? Behind the scenes of the Central Switzerland film region, a decisive chapter was opened on 4 May. At the General Assembly of the governing body, the choice fell on a well-coordinated trio who will henceforth hold the strategic reins.
Erich Felber, Nicole Reisinger and Michael Rüedi form the official co-presidency of the Film Commission with immediate effect. This decision is no coincidence, but the result of an intensive preparation phase in which the three had already shaped the association's fortunes as a steering committee. They now assume full responsibility for a region that is steadily gaining importance as a filming location for national and international productions.
The challenge is great: in a competitive market, locations must score not only through beauty, but through excellent infrastructure and financial reliability. This is where the new leadership team comes in. Erich Felber focuses on long-term strategy, Nicole Reisinger drives organisational development, and Michael Rüedi, as a financial expert, secures the commission's economic foundation.
A particular turning point marks the operational management. Lili Kaelin, who had already significantly shaped the face of the Film Commission since its founding at the end of 2016, returns to the executive management. After a hiatus, the experienced Film Commissioner is taking the helm again, bringing her extensive network and her knowledge of the specific needs of film crews directly into the daily work of Central Swiss film promotion.
With this constellation, the Film Commission Lucerne and Central Switzerland is ready for upcoming major projects. Supported by a team in the areas of back office and marketing, the new leadership will consolidate Central Switzerland as a first-class production location. The focus is clearly on strengthening the regional film industry and providing professional support from the first location tour to the last day of shooting.
